The strathaven women's rugby team was started in 2006. As it is a newly formed team we are still wanting new players so come along and join in. The women (aged 16 yrs and over) train on  tuesday night from 7- 9pm. All players are relatively new to the game of rugby and therefore welcome any players of any experience. The team currently play in the National Development League in scotland.   This league format encourages new and inexperienced players to gain the necessary confidence and skill to enjoy rugby.
The social side of the game is an important factor to the team and a good time is had by all on & off the pitch.
